Description
Crochet is a great hobby as it's very relaxing and beneficial for mental health. It also gives you a sense of achievement when you make items that can be gifted or used in your own home. Once you have learned the basics, you can then continue to grow in your knowledge and make a bigger variety of items. In this engaging course you will learn how to chain, slip stitch and other basic crochet stitches needed to create items. The stitches will be taught in both U.K. and U.S. terms. This is useful knowledge to have because patterns that you buy can vary in the terms that they use.You will learn how to create a seamless granny square baby blanket which can be whatever size you choose. There will be the option of changing the colour of your yarn so you don't have to make it in just a single colour. Another option is to add a shell border at the end as a finishing touch.Whilst making the baby hat and booties you will be taught how to increase and decrease your stitches and how to make a tension square (also known as a gauge square). This is very important because you want the finished item to be the correct size.
