Diagnosis and analysis of all damage types that can be seen in parts used in all areas of life and countermeasures

What you'll learn
You will learn about the types of damages that can occur in engineering fields and in everyday life in the parts you use.
By observing the different clues shown by these types of damages through examples, you will be able to easily diagnose and analyze the damages you encounter.
You will learn the causes of these different types of damages and various ways to prevent them.
You will also learn about the potential problems that the solutions you find to prevent damages may cause.
You will become aware of the important points you need to consider in this regard.
You will see the situations where you need to take initiative based on these potential problems.
You will see how damage analysis reports are prepared, including all stages of the process.

Requirements
Having a basic level of engineering and materials knowledge will be beneficial for you (not mandatory).

Description
Damage analysis experts are responsible for diagnosing and analyzing damages accurately and taking preventive measures to prevent similar incidents from recurring. Sometimes, the cause of the damage can be easily identified with simple clues, while other times, it may require a detective-like approach using tools such as magnification, laboratory experiments, and various detection methods to reach the correct conclusion. In this regard, the knowledge and experience of the individual with the title of damage analysis expert become crucial. Their reports and interpretations will guide product revisions and corrections to ensure customer satisfaction. Moreover, these experts are often appointed as "expert witnesses" in various legal cases within the industry. In this course, although it is focused on engineering, various items, machinery, equipment, materials, etc., used in our daily lives, along with different types of damages that may occur in them, the reasons and mechanisms behind these damages, preventive measures, and potential consequences of these measures are discussed. Visual content related to sample specimens is used to enrich the explanation. Completing this content, learners will acquire knowledge about important concepts related to damage analysis, including wear, fracture, fatigue, creep, welding, and corrosion damages, along with their various subtypes, through visual samples. After diagnosing these damages, they will also learn about the essentials of writing a proper damage analysis report. Finally, the instructional content emphasizes avoiding the common mistake made by many educators, which is "over-explaining a topic, causing students' attention to drift away from the lesson." Therefore, the course is designed to present the subjects as clearly and concisely as possible.
