Product Key Scanner is a tool that scans the Registry of Windows Operating system and finds the product keys of Windows and other Microsoft products. You can scan the Registry of your current running system, as well as you can scan the Registry from external hard drive plugged to your computer.
When scanning the product keys of your current running system, you can also search product key stored in BIOS, and search product keys by using WMI.
Run a simple scan to find Windows and other Microsoft products' keys
The program is portable, so all you need to do is download and decompress the archive to get started. Take note that the product solely works if the product key is actually stored somewhere locally and hence, it may not work if the license is not stored in the registries at all.
The application can scan the drives of your PC but you can also search for the key on an external hard drive. Before you begin the query, you can specify if you prefer to search for the product key with WMI or in BIOS. The search itself does not take very long, depending on the number of Microsoft products installed. The app displays the results in the main window within a list along with other information like product ID, key, name, scan type, registry key, registry value and modified time.
