have to agree with Banished. youll always get to think about balancing your population and your resources. Its a small game but quick to play. (10/10)Hmm if you're looking for a good building strategy game I think these are some of the good ones on steam that I recommend
Space Engineers (the community here is very creative and they share their space ships for everyone to enjoy)
Mini motorways (This is a game where you try to make limited efficient rationale roadways, bridges and highways on a forever spawning point a's and b's)
Kerbal Space Program (If you are into building physics based space craft or how NASA made calculations on how to get to the moon OR you just wanna kill some kerbals with the weirdest space shuttle imaginable. This is for you)
Prison Architect (If you want to make your own prison or your own gladiator arena or become a prisoner in a prison you have built. This is for you)
Stronghold Crusader 2, Stronghold 2 Steam Edition, StrongholdH
-D` (You are a king in a medieval setting, where you make your impenetrable castle to defend your helpless subjects from other kings with their own play styles. Food, money, population is a factor here. This is also an 0ld game so expect 0ld 3d graphics too. If you're interested then this is for you)
Banished (You own a medieval village, You are broke, your population is stupid and weak and getting older by the second, Winter is coming for your crops. The wood is running out. Trying to survive in this game is the goal where expansion can mean your next meal ticket or the deaths of your pops. If you're interested, this is for you)
These are all of the games I have tried so far that is both strictly building and strategy
